In pursuing systematically the chain of evidence, it is proposed to divide the argument
into the following branches :
1. The evidence from comparative philology.
2. That drawn from anatomy.
3. That deduced from their mythology.
4. That arising from their hieroglyphical writings.
5. That drawn from their astronomy.
6. The evidence derived from their architecture and decorations .
7. That deduced from their manners and customs.
